Marin LAFCo currently employs three full time employees headed by the Executive Officer. The Executive Officer is responsible for day-to-day operations and implementing the policies and procedures established by the Commission in meeting the agency’s regional growth management duties. The Executive Officer serves as an at-will employee and subject to annual performance reviews by the Commission. The Policy Analyst – and among other responsibilities – serves as project manager for most municipal service reviews undertaken by Marin LAFCo. The Commission Clerk provides general administrative support services as well as oversees Marin LAFCo’s records management system. All employees are provided salaries and benefits consistent with similar classifications established by the County of Marin. All employees are also provided defined-benefit pensions through the Marin County Employee’s Retirement Association.
